Meet Tony VanGessel

Tony VanGessel is a real estate professional with a diverse background in real estate development, finance, and asset management. After earning his Master’s degree in Real Estate from DePaul University, Tony launched his career in Chicago before relocating to Grand Rapids to join Rockford Development Group. In this role, he gained extensive experience in site selection, ground-up development, and financial structuring, working closely with industry leaders Kurt Hassberger and Jeff Edwards.

In 2020, Tony helped to found VG Investments, where he has served as both partner and chief operator. Under his leadership, the company has focused on managing, growing, and constantly improving it’s real estate portfolio while expanding into diversified asset management.

Tony brings his expertise in real estate finance, site selection, and brokerage to his role at Voyage, where he is a collaborative team player, ready to step in and add value wherever needed.

• Monroe Center - worked to boost Monroe Center Corridor through tenant improvements, lease negotiations, and prospecting new tenants i.e. Shinola, Greyson, House of Wine.

• Walkerview Industrial Park - acquisition and development of 300 acres in Walker
